Supporting the arts in the community I live in not only provides artistic opportunities for the artists in the metro area, but it also supports the culture that is so important to me as an artist and arts manager.
As and arts manager I celebrate how we create a variety of experiences for patrons that often inspire new, and possibly uncomfortable, conversations through art. I graduated from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI with a double major in Vocal Performance and Music Education. Since then I have completed a master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Management from St. Mary’s University and hold a Human Resources Generalist Certificate from the University of Minnesota.
While professionally I support the creation of artistic performances I still think of myself as an artist. I enjoy performing as a vocalist with friends who are professional musicians and pursue photography as a hobby. Additionally, I enjoy cooking, baking, and watching a good movie. But I always make time to curl up with my cat, Fitzwilliam, a cup of tea, and a good book. Oh, and we just got a new cat, Zelda. She hasn’t decided if she wants to join us on the couch yet.
